Has To Be Rob Taylor

- When was your first Hey Jude match and how did you get involved?

My first Hey Jude match was against Millwall at Cranford School. . I was going there on Saturday mornings to have extra GCSE's Revision sessions. I was walking in When Minky drove up with PJ in his little red car and asked what I was doing. He told me that some Bees fans were playing Millwall.

As I was walking up to my class " wearing my bees shirt " Paul Stedman came up to me and asked who I was and was I playing ?? I said no but I will play anyway.
I ended up playing as a center back and ended up in goal and I only let one in but that was a own goal from Trandy (you know it was!)

After that I Found out about the team and the rest is history.

- When did you get involved with the Website?

I tried a couple of sites and didnt really go to well.
I was bored one afternoon and thought I will have ago and am pleased with he way this website has worked out.

- Which Hey Jude game would you rate as your personal best?

I have no idea to be honest. A couple that stick out in mind are Arsenal in the IFA Cup last year and my first goals for Hey Jude against Coventry City.

- When was your first Brentford game?

Oxford United, (Home 1995) 1-0 to the Super Bees. Bob Taylor got the killer goal, not a great game but nice and hot and I really enjoyed it!

- Who got you involved with Brentford?

I went along with my two older brothers and within about a month of our first game we were firm Bees fans! My Dad had been a Bees supporter back in the (swinging) 1960s but we didnt know about his involvement when we first went.

- Who is your all time best Brentford player?

The best player would have to be Sir Bob Taylor, however my favourite would be hard to choose. I loved Gus Hurdles rather unorthodox style and obviously Evos top quality these days!

- When was your first Hey Jude match and how did you get involved?

I firstly got involved as a referee and my first game was Hey Jude Vs Gillingham, but first performance in the Red & White was against Inter Bears (Glasgow Rangers) in May 2001.

- When did you get involved with the Website?

Gary set up this website, which I thought was a very good idea, and then after I played a few games I got talking to him about it. At the time there were about 6pages to it and Gary was finding it hard to run on his own, first he tried to sell it to me (!) then decided we would make a good team and was involved by June 2001.

- Which Hey Jude game would you rate as your personal best?

I havent played particularly well for Hey Jude in my games but the team performance that sticks in my mind was the WBA game at WorldNET. I had an absolute howler! I did a few dodgy throw ins and then got in trouble with the mad ref, but everyone around me seemed to be on top of their games and we played some lovely stuff and deservedly won 2 0.

- What is the funniest moment you can remember with Hey Jude?

In a sick kind of way, looking back on Gary Di Canio Thomass near fight and nearly getting sent off, seems amusing. However, off the pitch Josh Stedman getting absolutely slaughtered and talking non-stop crap for about an hour in his intoxicated state was very funny, even I wouldnt be able to rival the amount of shit he talked!!

- What does the future hold for you?

Well, with Gary off to the Army it looks as though Ill be sailing the ship solo for the foreseeable future, but I am on the look out for more helpers as when I get to my A-Level mocks and the real exams I will struggle to keep it all going.

- Which Hey Jude game would you rate as your personal best?
